My Dad is 87, and was telling me that he's run through his savings. "I've outlived my money!" he told me. "Tell it to someone who cares" I replied. Okay, I am just kidding on both counts, but anyone close to the reverse mortgage field knows that as old people become, uh, older, their savings are tending to dwindle, and they are indeed turning to their houses for equity. We're outliving our retirement plans . Reverse mortgage specialists seem to be riding the wave, assuming that they've gone through the necessary training for that program, and there is equity in the house. MBS Close Near Weakest Price Levels Of Day, Still Range-Bound

MBS close +8 ticks on the day, at 102-11, but that's off highs around 102-15 10yr notes have backed up aggressively and directionally, rising from 3.10+ to 3.17. Close at 3.16% Stocks meanwhile surge late day, but all of the above are simple movements within respective ranges Charts tell most of the story from here on out. The order goes: 2 charts each of MBS, 10yrs, and S&P in that order, with 5 day chart first, followed by a 3 month chart. Note that ranges abound across all markets and timescales. Indecision… Waiting for guidance… Sapping much of the fundamental economic suggestion out of the movements. I know somethings are suppose to go off your credit after 7 years. That is if they are paid or not right.? I know somethings stay on forever no matter what right.?
My thing is I have credit card on my report that I refuse to pay, Its a long story,
I have other things on there but most if not all are paid, late or charged off, but paid. and a fourclouser on an old house.
Right now I have a mortgage on my house but it is with a private lender that is not reporting it to my credit report.
I have a debit card and I pay things with cash or I tell myself I do not need them.
I have no problem just letting things sit there for the next 7 years and let everything go off my credit report and sort of starting from scratch. No credit, low credit is better the bad can’t fix credit to me.
At the moment I can not even get a gas card or a store credit card, so getting one of those to help ‘fix’ my credit is out of the question.
Am I right.? Should I let things sit.?

If you fail to make your mortgage payments, can the bank garnish your wages for the payments?Or do they just take repossession of the home and auction it off themselves?And if they just auction it and can’t sell it for enough to cover the remaining mortgage amount, can they come back and sue you for that, even if you no longer have access to the home?I’m asking because I need to know…if a person decided to deliberately stop making payments on their home mortgage because the home will not sell on the market quick enough and they have to move out of state, what are the repurcussions?(Besides bad credit)The goal is to just get rid of the house, regardless of the loss in profit from the sale of it, and regardless of how it will effect the homeowner’s credit.Please provide any information pertaining to this.
